4th of July Week!  Always a fun week around here!  Always more than a bit on the crazy side in the days leading up to the 4th. There’s always two or three days of rodeo depending on whether or not the 4th falls on the weekend.  Being that this year it hits on Saturday, it’s a three day rodeo and draw team roping.  That also means we have practice roping almost every night this week as well.  Crazy!  Crazy!  Crazy!  And we love it…although by the end of the weekend we’ll pry be tired and cranky…Imagine that?

I love the 4th of July!  I am a very patriotic person.  I love my country!  My father is a VietNam vet, Kirk’s grandfather was a World War 2 vet, my great uncle died fighting in World War 2…we both have several relatives, living and deceased who fought for our county and we couldn’t be more proud!  I am one of those people who tear up during the National Anthem…it’s so beautiful!

Last night the family roped down at the neighbors, tonight the boys roped in the city with Kirk’s rodeo partner.  Kaet and I stayed home.  She had her last t-ball game to coach and after a day in the city, this Old Lady stayed home and washed laundry and dishes. It needed to be done.

Happy 4th of July!

Peace!
