Bertha Krueger and grandchildren

Lately I’ve been working on our family genealogy again.  Have worked on it on and off over the years and I still get excited to find new gems.  Neither side of my family were big talkers about the past, but was fortunate to learn enough about both sides to have been able to make great strides on most segments of the families.

Funny enough, after starting a number of years ago, a few members of mom and dad’s sides of the familes have remembered enough to add to what I was able to find in my Great-Grandma Pete’s scrapbooks and my Gramma K’s albums.

It’s amazing to see where people came from, the way they made their way not only to the United States but to see how they made it to our area of Iowa.  Would be interesting to know the why behind the choice to plant roots here.

Love!

Peace!
