Nebraska’s Swedish Crosses

Standard

Many moons ago when we lived out in Lexington, Nebraska Kirk and I discovered this gem, which we’ve been to many times over the years.

This is little cemetery is found out in rural Gothenburg, a handful of miles outside of town, down a gravel road.  Such a bittersweet story that can’t be told any better than the sign reads…

    • Yes, it’s such a beautiful little spot…at the corner of a field where two gravel roads meet. The community does such a nice job taking care of it. There’s even a guest book outside the fenced in area. Our daughter lives close by and we have friends who live in the area yet, we stop each time we go out west. I find it to be a place of peace.
