After 8 months was finally able to finish this 1967 temperature afghan for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary…a couple months late but just in time for their visit home from Florida.  Tension cyst in my thumb joint and surgery to remove it cut out about two months work.

A couple years ago I discovered the amazing temperature afghan.  This is my second, my folks 50th was the first and it is square, this is a spiral.  Starting January, each date is 50 stitches and each days high temperature is represented by a color…each color covers 10 degrees. Fun to look at the chart and follow the days.  Definitely worth the finger cramps and hours of cussing while sewing the ends.

Gypsy Rose loved the fresh out of the dryer smell!
