Our Loess Hills, not far from us.
Tess and I were out weeding in the flower garden last night while the boys were out baling hay. She was throwing such a fit I finally walked over to see what the deal was.
I do not like snakes….and had been sitting on the ground in my flower garden, weeding….not 12 foot away…in shorts and barefooted. It was gone by the time I came back with the lawnmower. Creepy…think I’ll be weeding in my knee boots from now on.
I have been a day off all week, each one a day behind. Hard to get much accomplished on weeks like this.
Has been a fairly good one non the less. More running from here to there than anything.
Accomplished some baking. Delivered to those family members who are always telling me I don’t get cookies to them near enough.
We’ve seen a bit of sun this week, more than we did last week. North of us must really be getting it worse than we have, some flooding and roads closures about 15 miles north and getting close about that for south.
This pathetic pooch had to ride with me to town today, her father had to work without her help today. She pouts terrible when she can’t go with him. She has such a tough time of it….air conditioning blowing on her, vehicle left running with the air on while I run into the store quick.
Looking to be a long day tomorrow, big list of errands and it’s supposed to be hot and humid. Tess will have to stay home in the air conditioned basement.
We have finally hit complete ground saturation, rain more on than off all day yesterday. We have water all over, north of here rivers are coming out of their banks.
We’re still good to the west, quite high, but still good.
A rare bright moment in the day. The arena is swamp today. The sun is out and no rain in the forecast for two days.
Ruby and I got out and about late afternoon, had to get out of the house.
Tess got a haircut last week.
Told her we were going to Gramma’s. Gramma wasn’t home…have never seen a dog search a house for a person like Ruby did yesterday. Grampa and I were amused.
