Driving from North Platte to Gothenburg,Nebraska last weekend, saw a road sign for a military cemetery that I’d never noticed before….Girlie was so “happy” to have the schedule rerouted. Out in the country, was so worth the stop….both kids stayed in the pickup…we were on our way to meet old friends for dinner and they weren’t about to humor me by getting out and discovering as well.
Was surprised to see such traffic congestion running across I80 in Nebraska today…traffic crawling for miles…thankfully not the direction we were going.
Took my nephew out to NebraskaLand for a visit to an Ag College. Long weekend, Aunt Mel is exhausted.
Such happy kiddos!
Peace and Love.
K and Amos Moses moving cattle in southwest Nebraska this morning. Kinda miss her!
Going through Kearney, Nebraska and have time to kill….the Archway Museum is worth the time, will post pictures after bit, it’s very cool to walk through time .
The girl is still home from spring break and so far, all is going well! Haven’t had any blowups or meeting of the minds. We spent most of yesterday and today together, so we are doing good! We are quite a bit alike, so we tend to lock horns from time to time. Neither willing to give an inch, but I always have the….I am the mother…card to play!
The family went out to some friends in Nebraska to do some roping yesterday. Was a nice outing. We came home and crashed after supper.
This afternoon Kaet and I went to see our Miss Margaret, she’s in the hospital…she took a fall and broke a major bone. We took her some flowers and a teddy bear. She’s in pretty tough shape, but we hope and pray that she’s going to kick some butt and be home before long. We love our Miss Margaret!
Going to have a girls day tomorrow. Lord, I have a crap load of laundry to do, we have a 100% chance of rain tomorrow, so there won’t be any hanging clothes out on the line, so it’s just going to have to wait. We’re going to go to our favorite restaurant in the city and then to a movie. Been some time since I’ve done something like a movie in the middle of the day during the week. Almost feel guilty even thinking about it.
